Bennett blasts payout claims
After yesterday’s bombshell announcement that Bennett would be sticking around Brisbane for 2019, the coaching swap might – still – be on the cards.
The Daily Telegraph claims both coaches want the swap to go ahead before the new season, while Bennett has fiercely defended his position at Brisbane.
“This is not about money,” Bennett told The Courier-Mail.
“I don’t want any payout. It’s about the promise I made to my players and I’m keeping my word to them.”
For now, anyway.
Mooy’s big day out
Aaron Mooy put in a man of the match performance for Huddersfield last night, scoring twice in a 2-0 victory over Wolverhampton.
Mooy netted after just six minutes, then sealed the match with a precise free kick in the 74th minute.
The Aussie ended a dry run of 29 Premier League games without a goal — having not scored from his last 32 shots, dating back to December last year.
The crucial result lifts Huddersfield out of the relegation zone by two points.
Kohli burns Aussies
It just had to be him.
Virat Kohli smashed the Aussies to equal the T20 series in front of a crowd that felt more like Delhi than Sydney.

It was all champagne and celebrations for Lewis Hamilton and his Mercedes team, after he secured an 11th win for the season in Abu Dhabi.
Nico Hulkenberg endured a scary crash early on, while Dan Ricciardo battled hard but was denied a podium.
