NRL 2019: Willie Mason slams off-season behaviour, unfiltered


Former NRL star big man Willie Mason has teed off over the playing group and the turmoil surrounding the league after the off-season from hell.

Mason, who played 290 games in the NRL, says the shame of the acts of certain players has left everyone, both past and present, red-faced.

The 38-year-old appeared on the latest episode of the show Unfiltered and the enforcer didn’t bite his tongue.

A tumultuous off-season has gripped the NRL with a plethora of incidents hitting the headlines and painting the league an ugly colour.

But as the 2019 season gets underway, fans are hopeful the return of the game will lead to happier days. But Mason couldn’t hide his disgust over what unfolded in the off-season.
