NRL grand final 2018: Sydney Roosters halfback Cooper Cronk injury

DOCTOR Ameer Ibrahim left no stone unturned when looking for a way to get Cooper Cronk onto the paddock on Sunday night.

Because looking at the scans, he believed the star halfback had Buckley’s chance to make it.

So they lied. They told the media Cronk was suffering from a rotator cuff injury and not a fractured scapula — which is worse.

“You can inject and eventually numb a rotator cuff but with a fractured scapula it’s a lot harder to inject and find the right spot and you couldn’t be sure that you were going to numb the shoulder blade completely,” Dr Ibraham explained to Fox Sports News.
