LUKE Keary has taken out the 2018 Clive Churchill Medal after playing a starring role for the Sydney Roosters in their 21-6 win over Melbourne in the grand final.

With his halves partner Cooper Cronk virtually a passenger due to a broken scapula, Keary became the hero for the Tricolours.

The 26-year-old, who previously won a title with South Sydney in 2014, controlled the Roosters’ attack all night, floating across both sides of the field while also doing a majority of the kicking.
